Why Should I Hire You?

Here’s a bit more about why I am qualified to improve the dating profiles and experiences of nonmonogamous men.

First, I’ve been a writer and editor for more than a decade. You can check out my other business, Fresh Start Writing, for more details about my bona fides, if you’d like, but in short, I know how to turn a phrase. I also know how to turn your phrase! I have written content for many other people, and I am adept at finding their voice and writing with that voice in mind. If you don’t have a voice – well, you definitely have a voice, but you may not realize it – I will help you find one.

Second, and honestly more importantly, I’ve been online dating as a poly/ENM woman for most of the last decade. I have probably viewed a thousand or more dating profiles in that time. I know what your target audience wants to see and how they want to be interacted with on dating apps because I am your target audience. (Sadly, it would be unethical for me to coach you and date you, though.)

For a long time, my reactions to dating profiles were mostly reflexive or ambiguous: “Something feels off here,” essentially. But over the years I’ve started to notice the specific things that squash or pique my interest in specific people. With those particular attributes in mind, I can help you become an interest-piquer.

In addition to the editing background and the poly background, I am a supportive sounding board. I am not a therapist (although I was raised by two of them). I am someone who enjoys listening to people’s feelings, ideas, struggles and joys, helping provide context as needed, and offering simple strategies to turn the struggles into something a bit less painful. Dating can be rough at times, and while I’m happy to get you set up with a shiny new profile and set you free, I am also available to provide ongoing cheerleading and virtual hugs if you want them.
